Initial Consultation

This will give you a chance to meet me, ask questions, and get a first sense of what psychotherapy feels like. This is when we can establish what you would like to get help with and how I will work with you to achieve your goal.

Confidentiality

Our sessions are confidential. What you say in my office stays in my office.

Exceptions to Confidentiality

There are instances in which I am required by law to break confidentiality. However, I would always tell you so prior to any action. Another exception is supervision.

Supervision

Supervision is an ethical requirement for all counsellors and psychotherapists. It means that during the course of our work together I will see my supervisor who will support me to provide you with the best service I can. He is also bound by the same code of ethics and confidentiality as I am.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

Counselling is usually divided into short term contract (6 - 12 sessions) and long term contract (more than 12 sessions). The number of sessions you need depends on many factors. This is agreed between you and me when we meet and is reviewed regularly. You are also free to stop at any point.

Languages

I offer counselling sessions in English and Polish.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your session please let me know as soon as possible. If you cancel on the day of the session or miss a session you will still be charged the fee. However, I will strive to find a different suitable slot for you on that occasion. If there is nothing available that works for both of us you will still be charged.

Holidays

I take some holiday at Easter, Christmas, and summer holidays. I will always give you at least 2 weeks notice of my holiday.
